5 Quick, BUDGET Friendly Meal Prep Ideas You DON'T Have To Be A Chef To Make

You most likely enjoy having prepped meals but either having someone make them for you is too pricey, or, you don't have enough time to make them yourself. Whether you're looking to meal prep to lose weight, save money, or save time, these quick and budget friendly options might just be for you.

Baked Lime Chicken Bowls

Aside from marinating the chicken, this one is only going to take you about 20 minutes to make. For the sides you have green beans and quinoa. If you don’t like quinoa, switch it out for rice. If you’re not a fan of green beans, brussels sprouts might be a better option for your side.

Shrimp Taco Bowls

These are only going to take a total of 25 minutes, 10 minutes being the prep time and 15 minutes being the cook time. Mixed in the bowl are shrimp, brown rice, black beans, corn, and tomatoes.

Honey Sriracha Glazed Meatballs

I always use to think meatballs took a long time to cook, but with this one you’re in and out in 30 minutes with only 5 of those minutes being the prep time. This one is served on brown rice, but just like earlier you can switch it out for quinoa instead. For the meat, you have a few different options but turkey is suggested for this meal.

Lemon Roasted Salmon

This one takes a little longer at 45 minutes, but only 15 of those minutes are your prep time. The sides are sweet potatoes and broccoli. If you’re not a fan of sweet potatoes, me and my wife’s favorite side with salmon are cauliflower mashed potatoes.

Buffalo Chicken Jar Salad

This only takes 15 minutes to make. Inside there is cooked shredded chicken, dressing, celery, corn, onions, buffalo sauce, and lettuce. What is cool about this one is you don’t put it in regular “meal prep packaging.” Instead, throw all of this inside a mason jar. I prefer to shake up my salads so this one already being in a mason jar makes it that much easier.
